Talk Host: Ann Marie Juliano, Founder & CEO of Muse Finance
Ann Marie Juliano is an Entrepreneur, Founder & CEO of the Fin-Tech rising star Muse Finance, her third business. Muse supports UK business owners with their short-term cash flow by providing 30-60-90-day forecasting tools and access to finance within 24 hours.
With over 20 years of experience in financial services, Ann has worked and led teams in London & New York at renowned firms such as Fortress Investment Group, Credit Suisse & Moody’s Investors Service. Following on from her work experience, Ann pursued her MBA in 2018 at Oxford's Saïd Business School where the ideation of Muse took shape. From there, Muse was 1 of the 10 companies chosen out of 1,500 candidates to join the 2020 London Class of the Barclays Accelerator program, powered by Techstars. Muse Finance went on to be named the Winner of the Harvard Business School’s European New Venture Competition in 2021.

Lesley Gregory is one of the few female chairs of a UK law firm, and was previously also the CEO of Memery Crystal. She founded and runs a successful female entrepreneurs’ network, the ‘Women in Business Network’, and encourages an internal culture focused on diversity – all whilst maintaining her top-rated corporate practice where she specialises in capital markets. Lesley enjoys the challenges of working with entrepreneurs and growth companies, and has previously acted as a non-executive director or special advisor to both public and private companies.
Lesley has won a number of impressive accolades in the industry. She has been named ‘Leading Individual’ in The Legal 500 UK, Top Ranked in the Chambers UK, whilst also being recognised as a notable woman in law as winner of ‘Legal Adviser of the Year’ at the Women in Finance Awards, ‘Mentor of the Year’ at the Women in Law Awards, and Highly Commended by the Law Society’s Excellence Awards for ‘Women Solicitor of the Year’.
Merilee Karr - Founder & CEO, UnderTheDoormat
Merilee Karr is the CEO and Founder of UnderTheDoormat Group which encompasses; UnderTheDoormat Managed, professionally hosted short-term lets; Hospiria, a SaaS + Service software to simplify distribution and operations and TrustedStays, a government and corporate focussed booking platform.
Passionate about professionalising the growing industry, Merilee is elected Chair for UK Short Term Accommodation Association, working with government led departments. Her work has revolutionised the hospitality industry with achievements of winning an Innovate UK grant to build the sustainable commercial model for corporate and government stays as well as launching Hospiria technology mid-pandemic, which offers industry leading software solutions to allow SME property managers internationally to recover and grow.
She has been named winner for many prestigious accolades, including JP Morgan’s Top Female Powered Companies and the Rapid Response Award by Estate Gazette both in 2021, and the Business Woman of the Year in 2019.
