International Women's Day:

Quickfire Q & A with

Sales Team Member, Meghan Filicetti

This week we are celebrating #IWD2021 and the International Women’s Day theme #ChooseToChallenge, by shining a spotlight on the amazing women that work at Muse.

Name: Meghan Filicetti

Role: Sales & Marketing Team Member

Question 1: What does International Women's Day mean to you?

It’s a day dedicated to the celebration of Women. A celebration of resilient, strong, intelligent, beautiful, hard-working and definitely well-deserving women all over the world.

Question 2: This years theme is #ChooseToChallenge. A campaign to raise awareness against gender bias and inequality. What are your thoughts on this?

The last few years, I believe that gender bias and inequality conversations have become more prevalent and front of mind topics discussed more openly and I’d love to see these important topics continue to be covered more consistently and widespread. I agree that we should all #ChooseToChallenge

Question 3: Which woman is your biggest inspiration?

My grandmother who turns 86 next month is my biggest inspiration. Emigrating from Italy to Canada alone at the age of 19 to meet her husband while speaking little English, to then maintaining a career and raising and supporting three incredible children, one of them being my mother. Despite having a tough year with not only contracting Covid but also losing the love of her life to the deadly disease, she continues to shine her light every single day to every person that crosses her path. Her attitude in life is absolutely infectious and her work-ethic and devotion to her family in her 86 years is truly awe-inspiring.

Question 4: What advice would you give to other women in business to help them succeed?

Listen intently, collaborate enthusiastically, think strategically and speak clearly. Hustle and you will prove yourself, the recognition is worth the dedication. And smile, because it’s infectious.
